VINTAGE CLARETS are back in action this Bank Holiday weekend, as they prepare to face another local side raising money for a very worthy cause.
The VC’s are raring to go under new the new stewardship of Gerry Harrison and Phil Eastwood, having taken the reins from Roger Eli and John Deary over the summer. All four players will remain a cornerstone of the VC squad however, with just the logistics of games and squad to be handled by Gerry and Phil going forward.
As for the game itself, which has been set up by local lads Ryan Salmon, Andy Heys and Craig McNulty, the aim is to raise money for two great charities: Cystic Fibrosis and Ronald McDonald House.
Lots has been planned for the day, with fun games and activities for children including a bouncy castle and face painting, as well as a raffle to be drawn after the game.
