Clarets Hero Ian Britton Turning Out For Tommy

BURNLEY FC hero Ian Britton is Turning Out for Tommy on July 25 at Padiham FC.

The man who helped keep Burnley FC in the Football League all those years ago with his much acclaimed goal, is set to take his place in the dugout to manage a Vintage Clarets side facing three different teams across 90 minutes.

Dundee-born Ian scored 10 goals in 108 games for Burnley between 1986 and 1989. He also managed Nelson FC. The former Chelsea, Dundee, Blackpool and Morecambe midfielder still lives in East Lancashire and is looking forward to meeting lots of friends and former colleagues at Padiham.

There are a limited amount of tickets left for the game, but spectators can also pay a small fee on the gate of £3.

The first match kicks off at 2pm, gates open at 12pm.
