VINTAGE CLARETS once again took part in the annual Cabinet Makers Cup, sponsored by Sealy, which this year took place in Derby following the success of last year’s tournament at Wembley.
The competition saw the VC’s compete in 9 matches in total, in what was another very well organised, well run event.
John Deary of Vintage Clarets said: “It is always a pleasure to be invited to the Cabinet makers cup and we all appreciate the great hospitality given by the days main sponsor Sealy. The tournament is very well run and it was good to meet up with teams and old faces from last year and the quality of football was better as well. It seems to improve every year and it is an event the Vintage Clarets enter into our yearly dairy and accept with great enthusiasm. We are already looking forward to where it will be staged next year and would like to thank Vintage Clarets main sponsor Sealy for our invite.”
Of the 9 matches, the VC’s won 7, drew 1 and lost 1 ending on 22 points.
